Scrap Tire Pyrolysis Technology- Achieving Turn Waste To Energy

On March 12, 2023, local time, a fire broke out at the Daejeon Hankook Tire factory in Daejeon, South Korea. The fire remained unextinguished for 11 hours and the accident caused 87,000 square meters of the factory to burn and about 400,000 tires to be destroyed.

In the tire production base with complete safety and fire prevention measures, there is still such a huge hazard. If the waste tires piled up in the garbage dump, the risk can be imagined. Two years ago, the fire at the world’s largest waste tire dump in Kuwait is still fresh in our mind. The billowing smoke is like the end of the world; the harm caused by waste tires is beyond our imagination. With the popularity of automobiles, the amount of waste tires generated is also increasing. As a solid waste with huge output, the recycling and reuse of waste tires has aroused wide attention. The usual disposal methods used tires are: prototype utilization, tire retreading, making rubber powder, manufacturing recycled rubber and tire pyrolysis. There is also the method of heat recovery by burning and incineration, but it is gradually being banned because of the serious secondary pollution. With the improvement of environmental protection requirements and standards, as well as the general trend of “carbon reduction” in the world, the recycling of waste tires is paying more and more attention to green environmental protection.

In recent years, tire pyrolysis process has attracted much attention worldwide and is also known as a new green way to reuse scrap tires. Many scrap tire recycling factories are also gradually introducing scrap tire cracking equipment. Tire pyrolysis is to put waste tires into a high-temperature atmospheric cracking kettle for heating and cracking in an oxygen-free or oxygen-poor environment, thereby producing recycled oil, carbon black, steel wire and non-condensable combustible gas. Tire pyrolysis oil is mainly used for fuel or refined to obtain gasoline and diesel. Most of the tire oils currently on the market are directly used as fuel. One ton of waste tires can be pyrolyzed to produce about 45% of pyrolysis oil, about 35% of carbon black, about 12% of steel wire, and about 8% of non-condensable combustible gas.

Niutech Environment Technology Corporation focuses on the research and development of waste pyrolysis technology and equipment manufacturing. It has made outstanding contributions in the fields of recycling waste tires and waste plastics. Its self-developed industrial continuous waste tire pyrolysis production line ensures energy saving, high efficiency, safety and environmental protection in the whole treatment process, and the treatment and comprehensive utilization rate of waste tires reaches 100%. As the ultimate treatment method for waste tires, pyrolysis can truly realize the harmless, reduction treatment and resource utilization of waste tires.

The company expanded its business globally, the pyrolysis technology and equipment have been fully verified by the market, such as Germany, Hungary, Estonia in Europe, Brazil in the Americas, India, Turkey, Iraq, Malaysia and other countries in Asia. The waste tires after pyrolysis are transformed into pyrolysis oil, carbon black, steel wire and other resource products to realize the resource utilization of waste tires. Waste tire pyrolysis technology and equipment create good economic benefits while achieving environmental governance.

We believe that with our joint efforts, the problem of waste tire pollution will be greatly solved, and Niutech will continue to move forward.
