In July 2026, Niutech signed a sales contract with a global energy major for an industrial continuous waste plastic pyrolysis line. The system applies Niutech’s proprietary continuous pyrolysis technology and will be installed at the customer’s large refinery as part of a production-line upgrade. Once complete, the refinery will be able to convert waste plastic pyrolysis oil into hydrotreated sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) — the full chain in a single facility. Sustainable aviation fuel is widely seen as the most practical route to aviation decarbonization, but its feedstock has long been a bottleneck. SAF has relied mainly on used cooking oil and other biomass, and as major markets roll out mandatory blending targets, those traditional feedstocks are getting scarcer and costlier.
